1920 Austrian States Paper Money?
Looking for Current Values(as Collectibles) of 10,20 and 50 Heller paper notes( most notes are considered at XF to UNC grade)
the only problem is that most of these notes are not listed in any of the current catalogs for world paper money.
a few of the notes (May) be municipal notes(mainly in Upper states) issued by the municipality(for example Innsbruck).
Dating on all notes were either May or December 1920
other than the standard catalogue for paper money(world, including specialized currency) are there any other publications?
Will when I have time put some of them up on my flickr page by this weekend.
By the way, these were collected by my grandfather before he returned from his duty in and after WW1(and he collected only one military script note!)
Looked at notgeld book at the library. Found all the notes listed(unfortunately all but two didnt have photos) except for three notes. will find a way to post them tonight.
The notegeld book was really confusing on value of the notes

They are considered Austrian Notgeld notes. They were issued as an emergency currency and later on as collectible. Germany made the most and Austria was second. Without seeing them I can not look them up. They were printed by the millions in some cases and 100 different are advertised time to time in the coin magazines for $49. Since they are in another language there are not a lot of collectors for them here in the states but there are a few.
