i keep gettin angzeity attacks please help me im 15 yeazrs old .. female?
like almost a week and a half ago i had a real bad panic attack out of no were. and had to go to the hospital. cua i thought i was having a heart attack. then for about a week i wouldnt leave my moms side constant worry. i tryed deap breath and tryed to do other stuff to get it of my mind didnt work so my mom took me to the hospital (spring mountain treatment center) and theystarted me on prozac 10mg .but how long does it take to get in your body. cuz i got out monday may 4 2009 and just cant stop the depression and angziety i tryed he coping skills ansd nuttin worked.

Prozac, like all SSRI's, takes between 2 and 6 weeks to take full effect. During this period of time you should be seeing your psychiatrist on a fairly regular basis and they will most likely be slowly increasing your dosage over a period of weeks to months until the desired therapeutic effect is achieved.
