ladies...do u worry about your looks?

honesly, not so much.

i take time to make sure that I look clean and well-maintained.

i wear minimal make-up and usually do something simple with my hair.

but i also think that natural beauty always looks better than the "whore" beauty.

Of course.

You get some more laid back than others, but with all the emphasis on having to look the best you can- there is pressure to keep up a certain image.

I like to look nice, i don't go with all the fake crap- i just use a little make up here and there to brighten me up and wear nice clothes for my body type.

I helps me feel better too, because then i'm more confident, and then i can be a happier person which adds to my personality. It benefits that way :)

But some girls can go too far, obsess over it too much and then just portray a vain and narcissistic personality.

We know that personality counts more, but when you get guys saying 'Wow she's gorgeous', 'I'd love to get with her' etc- especially when it is over celebrities- we look at that image and then get it into our heads that this is how good we need to look in order for guys to like us.

Then there is the issue that we want to be above the rest. We don't want our guys looking at other girls and comparing us because we know we are not the most beautiful, but we like to believe that it's how you view us you know?

In history girls have always been something admired for beauty, we were told to 'shut up and look pretty', and this mentality can still follow us around at times.

Not to such a sexist extent, but just the feeling that we need to be beautiful to be accepted.

I used to worry about my looks, and to be honest I still do however not as much as before. I deal with insecurity issues by myself however I come across as a confident person that doesn't think that she looks ugly or not fully comfortable with herself. I'm myself all the time, I get a people telling me I'm pretty, and I take that to heart because it really does boost your ego. I then look in the mirror later that day and fell really confident. Yet on another day I'd feel really ugly. Yes you may say that you care about personality the most, but no one has signs above their heads telling you what they are going to be like. As the saying goes 'Don't judge a book by it's cover.'

I care more about what is on the inside personally. I think one can look absolutely amazing on the outside and have an ugly personality that just makes them ugly. As women we care about how we look because we like to maintain a good image as well. Sometimes people take it too far.

yes i worry very much about them. ive been made fun of for my looks in the past and ever since then its been a problem. i always feel like my stomach is too big, my boobs arent big enough, im too short, my skin is too pale and my brown hair/eyes are boring. i know good guys would rather be with a girl who has a good personality, but i want to be attractive to look at too. i dont like how pretty girls can steal my bfs attention. im not gonna lie, i wana be hot, not cute

I don't think there's any girl who will say no to this. Maybe not all of us 'worry' about them, but we all definately care. Although there are some guys out there like you who aren't shallow, looking good is the key factor to confidence. If we look good, we feel good. Simple as :)

some people that all they care about isJUST LOOKS cause their are alot of guys out there who like to just go out with the pretty girl or w/e.

but i do believed that they are some people who actually judges girls on their personality not their looks.

personally i do not get so "over obsessed" with my looks

Most of the times, unless we plan to stay home all day..

I have to admit I do care about my hair and my skin, though I'm not real big on makeup...

But in conclusion, yes.

Not all guys are like that. some guys want hot chicks. that's cool if you don't though haha but yeah, most girls do care about their looks...
