Well I'm kind of in two minds about this. Ideally you shouldn't put this horse down but if you're offering him for free anyone could take him, including a meat dealer and he could be sent to slaughter, at least putting a horse down is humane. Even if you give it to someone you know they may find the horse too much and sell it on so it may end up as meat either way. If you have experience and have really tried to work this horse through its problems then they may just be too deep and unfixable, I've seen this happen with some rescue cases before. Is there any chance you could ask the rescue center to take the horse back? If not then I would put the horse down if I were you, it seems cruel but horses are huge animals and if they have dangerous, unperdictable behaviour that training won't solve then there's no other safe option.
