Do you think that when David was gearing up to fight Goliath that he was apprehensive and weary?

What do you do spiritually or mentally to ready yourself before going into battle with your "Goliath"?

Anyone who has read the story in 1 Samuel 17 knows that David was the only one who wasn't apprehensive. He was angry at the Isrealite soldiers for not standing up to Goliath, and he volunteered to fight because no one else would. That's the only right answer, even if it were a myth.

David, apprenhenisve? Not in the least. The fix was in. Goliath never had a chance. He left behind 3 darling children and a very distraught grieving widow, who was known to say, oh where oh where am I ever gonna find a stud muffin like that again?

What do I do to get ready to battle my "Goliath"? Doesn't matter, wife always wins.

Ha, ha, please do not ultilize the thumbs down feature. That is so cute and naive. Oh, please, monkeys, try not to fling poop at the tourists. lol. Good luck with that.

Remember he had a strong ally and that was God who was on his side and although faced with the size of Goliath of course he was concerned.Read the passages in the Bible which say exactly his thoughts and fear.

    Interesting question!

Everyone knows flying is my personal Goliath, especially where takeoffs and landings are concerned. How do I get myself ready to fly? I usually try to empty my bladder, vomit if I feel like it, and pray several hours before taxi time. I sometimes look myself in the mirror and say, "Art, you can DO THIS. Yes, people's lives are in your hands but the CHRIST is in your heart. He gave us this miracle called flight. He can take it away but won't if your heart is TRUE."

    GOD Bless you-

Nobody wins ANYTHING by being a whiny p*ssy.

He was probably like I am going to tear this mother f*ckers larynx out tear off his arm and sodomize with it. I will make his sl*t mother watch and then kick her to death, spit on her and throw her fat body in a gutter.

as a former FA, you are. We all f*cked the rampers and mechanics, the pilots were all cheap nerds. I was a slam clicker. :p

David was a coward. Using a sling is a lot like using a gun in a knife fight.

It's just mythology. An early literary example of Palestinian-bashing.

No, David was a brave guy, he knew God was on his side. When I go into battle I pray and praise to God.
