Quick-fix for sore ankles?

After not being very physically active for several years, I decided I wanted to get back into sports. I joined an adult soccer league (I have never played soccer before in my life) and quickly fell in love...except after about the second game (I play the full game due to lack of women on team and league regulations on minimum women needed on field) my ankles and feet started hurting. BAD. I have always been pretty athletic but have never experienced this kind of pain. It has gotten increasingly worse with every practice. I can barely walk let alone run. I this is mainly due to not stretching before playing. I played tonight, rather hobbled around the field, and I am SO frustrated. I have iced them and that seemed to help minimally but are there any quick fixes to get them back to normal? At this rate, I will have to sit out our next game (3 days away) and I REALLY don't want to do that!

    A really good way to fix sore ankles with no medical assistance is before you go to sleep every night as you're laying on your back, spell out the alphabet with you're feet, like your drawing the letters in the air with your toes, it helps a ton.

    "Mohammad Ashraful (where are the Bangladeshi fans now?)" The minnow nation must must be proud of ashraful infact , no surpise the above bangladeshi "shuvo" admits that they are ready to forgive him . I mean bangladesh got a reason to get into the limelight because of ashraful otherwise hardly anyone pays attention to them. Oh and yes i agree we should applaud the delhi police~
