I've lost 6 pounds so far on Alli....I started a month ago and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am the type that nothing works on, so I'm almost in tears that this is working so well.
I do eat fried chicken and fried foods from time to time, but the secret is to have small portions of it. I don't take my Alli pill when I eat anything fried, but you know what? For me, the Alli stays in my system even when I have a meal WITHOUT it, and when I do have fried foods and skip the pill, the oil still comes "out" when I go to the bathroom, but I have no accidents or anything. Just a normal bathroom trip.
I mean, I'm down pounds and I have been exercising a bit more and watching what I eat. But to be honest, I really don't feel like I've made any HUGE life changes, just up the exercise a little and not so much junk food. The weight is coming off regardless of what I've been doing. And before that, I was gaining weight every week. I've stopped gaining and started losing. Alli is amazing!!!
EDIT: I just want to add that "cheating" should not be in your vocabulary. Losing weight and eating healthy is a life long thing, you will have meals where you don't eat perfect, but don't say you are "cheating", you are HUMAN. Just eat better the next meal. And when you eat meals that aren't great calorie/fat wise, work on eating small portions. THat's what I've been doing this past month, it's a learning process that I'm getting good with. I'm eating lean pocket for lunch and a banana. I mean have french fries tonight, no big deal. I'll have a small portion and I plan on working out. Be good to yourself and with Alli you'll realize that you can do this, cheating is not a real word--"learning" is more acceptable. :)

I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Read the fine print on the Alli packaging. If you take it and continue to eat fatty foods you will have digestive problems, like diarrhea and anal leakage. It's designed that way specifically to get people NOT to eat bad foods. If you're already thinking of cheating, I wouldn't take Alli.
