What's your first memory?

When I fell into a water fountain in the street on holiday...i was about 3 or 4 I think.

This statement doesn't seem like a question but I would say it is true. Most people treasure the memory of their first love especially when that loves ends and breaks our heart in the process. We are experiencing emotional agony for the first time in our lives and it is sometimes too powerful to believe we are going to survive, and we never really get over that first love, no matter how many times we fall in love after wards. The memory will always bring us to self pitying tears for we know its over and it always will be.

One of the most vivid is when I was about 3 years old. There was a huge storm while we were at the groceries and I remember my Dad picking me up and running to the parking lot and throwing me in the car. Right as he closed the passenger door (where he threw me in) lightning struck really close, I still remember the flash of light. Then I remember my Dad getting into the driver's side and just sitting there with his head down on the steering wheel. He says he still remembers that and how he felt dizzy when the lighting struck. He then drove up to the front of the store to get my Mom and siblings. I also remember my oldest sister and brother making fun of some lady that started screaming as she was running towards her car.

There are other random memories, like playing alone while my siblings were in school. Playing with my Mom's shoes and makeup.

I was in the back of the car and my mom and dad were taking my sister to school. I remember seeing her getting out of the car, putting her backpack on one shoulder then walking away. ha random yes but that's the earliest memory i can remember. :)

When I was 3 I cut my arm open on a metal fence. It was bad, I remember the rushing to the hospital, x-rays, stitches, being given a stuffed animal, getting a cast, and finally leaving the hospital at midnight baby blanket in hand.

I hold on to this memory with so such force. I was two and it was Christmas eve and we were at a work party with my moms company.

I remember setting on santa's lap and i carried a doll the whole time.

That night my mother died in a car crash.

Childhood memories.

I have a vague memory of a ship leaving port, and lots of people waving.

Apparently, this was when my uncle emigrated to New Zealand. I was 1 year old!

I can remember my grandmother rocking me and singing "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". I must have been about 1 year old.

Pooping on my brothers carpet because I had taken my diaper off.

HA good times good times....

I have a lot of really early clear memories but that one is the most vivid.
