Should Shakespeare be studied in schools?
What is your opinion on teaching children Shakespeare? What age should they be introduced to it? How does it benefit children?
I am supposed to do research from blogs and thought I would solicit the people of Yahoo! Answers and their opinions.
Thanks

my opinion is no, but that's mainly becasue I dislike english in general though I also think shakespeare is pointless. On the other side, I can understand why, because teachers want us to "apreciate" good liturature, and there is really good use of the poetic divices in shakespeare. I'd say if it's going to be taught, only 2 years max, and some time in high school would be a good time to start.

I'm 16 and I'm reading my first Shakespeare tragedy in school, Macbeth!
However, I wish I was introduced to it earlier because despite the old English language, they are all good stories and all have good morals at the end.
I think they should be introduced to all First Year pupils in High School...
