My dogs feet are swelling?
My dog is pregnant. I am not a new breeder. I have been breeding boxers since 2002. but have never experienced this before. She is due to have her pups any day now. but today I come home from work and see that her feet are swollen. Is that normal. Should i be worried. This is her 2nd litter. She did wonderfully the last litter. She is never alone of course. My hubby works from home. I just never have seen this happen before in any of my dogs. any info would be very helpful.. If you dont like that i breed. I understand and thats your opinion in which you are entitled.. but please keep your rude comments to yourself. thanks again..
ps... i called my vet.. he said everything should be fine to monitor.. just wondering if anyone out there has experienced the same thing..

It is not normal that is for sure. I would take her in and have her check asap from the vet. She could be having eclampsia just like women when they are pregnant. The feet swelling could also be a kidney shutdown not removing the fluids fast enough. Either way she is quick need or her veterinary to determine what the cause and get her on the right track.
Good luck with the babies.
Don't delay.
