Does anyone else agree with me that Ron Artest did not deserve a flagrant?
I quit watching the game at that point but I saw on Espn that Ron Artest was ejected for fouling Pau Gasol.
I watched the replay on youtube. It is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. He went through the ball and Pau's arms. Thats not even a flagrant foul, even in the regular season. Its just a hard foul, it not Artest's fault that Pau went down after his weak drive to the basket. Maybe a flagrant 1 if the officials are calling the game extra tight. I am not a fan of either team, but that absolutely made me sick.
and Gasol might have had some help going to the floor from Shane Battier and #7

Almost everyone agrees that it was not a flagrant, especially a fragrant two. But the thing is that the game had already been decided and the refs did not want to let it get out of control - so no big deal!
By the way, I recorded it on DVR in HD and all that stuff that is much better quality than youtube and he did not get the ball, more his arms and shoulders. Saying that it was a weak drive is nothing more than crying over being beaten. Chill out, you got another home game Sunday.
If I were a Rockets fan, I would be more concerned about Yao's legs and feet than a foul that made no difference in a game.

It should of been a flagrant one, although many would still disagree with me...
This is what happened if you looked very carefully:
When Gasol jumped Artest got a hand on the ball and his hand then a millisecond later he sorta "follows through" with his foul and shoves his hand down...which was quite unnecessary which caused it to be a flagrant...but it shouldn't of been a flagrant 2.

He did deserve it...
The game was already lost for the rockets, so ron was not trying to like save the game winning layup with a hard foul. it was pointless to foul pau that hard, because the lakers won anyway.

completly agree here because he barly touched him. I saw it on espn and I was very very surprised. It's all because of his past history with hard fouls that he got a flagerent but come on. The NBA Reffs are horendous this season in every series
