Why are people so obsessed with Twilight?

The books are badly written, i swear my 12 year old sister can write better than that.The movie was appalling - possibly the worst movie i've ever seen - pattinson is a freaky looking boy who can't act,the girl was ok - but still - it just didn't do it for me.I can't understand everyone's obsession with it.

King,Koontz,Rice and Laymon are much better writers.

I wanted to read it badly because i absolutely love any supernatural books. I had a friend, and she said that it would be a while until i got the book because so many others were waiting for it. While I was waiting she had a copy and let me read the little bit i could durring 5th hour, i was deeply immersed in the book all the way through the bell my friend had to tell me that she needed her book back. i was so upset i wanted to read more, i had to wait about two more weeks for it and when i got it i spent the whole night reading it, i skipped doing all my homework and failed a homework check in math. It was totally worth it though. The next day i begged my mom to go and get New Moon for me but she wouldn't, so I went to the library to put it on hold but the estimated wait was about 126 days I couldn't bear that kind of wait so I had to wait until the next time i went to the mall and had money. It was a couple weeks and i couldnt wait to read it that i started before i even got to the register! i was done in the early hours of the morning, and got about 2 hours of sleep before i had to wake up and trudge though another day sad that i had no more Twilight/ New Moon to read. now i am obsessed with finding every little thing i can about Eclispe and cursing myself for not having enough money to buy the special edition of New Moon so i could read the first chapter of Eclipse but finally I got to read it I was squeeling to myself the whole time and my family was like what the heck Megan? three weeks seems like an eternity to me but if Eclipse is going to be as good as i think then the wait will be well worth the wait. More i like about Twilight is that Bella is shorter, brunette, and pale, just like me, it makes me feel like maybe I can have an Edward too! If not Edward himself :]. Stephenie Meyer is pretty much my hero now, she is an amazing! writer!

There is no real reason, people just.. well, love it! It's truely a touching series. I'd recommend it to those who love supernatural love stories!

Anyone who prefers Twilight to Anne Rice is an idiot ,they are totally different in style and target audience ,Twilight IS a kids book after all.

because they cant see pass looks to the personality which none of the twilight characters have because Stephanie myers can tell you how hot some one is but not how they act because she was hot for edward in a dream and not a for his personality or maybe because she thinks that 12 year old girls and whoever else read the books long to be controlled by some dead guy as long as he is hot and she is brain dead with no real personality and people like ruining legacies like the one of vampires with one stupid *** book that never should have been made but burned at the stake cause all it did was make it ok for guys to be crazy and hot girls to be brain dead and like hot guys and her a whiny writer whenever her book gets leaked even thought any other writer would have took it and wrote more.

I don't see what the big deal is! it seems like Robert does take showers and they are all bad actors. But if you ask 11-13 year old the answer it's going to be sooooo different.

Well. i've read all the books and i have the movie. i think the reason why though is because every girl can relate to how Bella feels. they all have a crush on someone and they all want to hear that what goes on inside their head goes on inside other people's heads. i hope that helped :P
