Why Was My Question Removed?
Last week I asked a question, received 7 answers and I picked the best answer. I received my 3 points for picking the best answer. Today, I just happened to look at my questions and found that my question was removed. Why was it removed? Wouldn't it have been removed while I was asking the question not after the question has been answered and I selected who I thought answered the question to my satisfaction? Is there a way to phone or contact Yahoo Answers?

Did you receive a mail? If not, chances are the BA got deleted. Here is the info:
Content on Yahoo! Answers may be deleted for several reasons:
* Yahoo! determines that your content is in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. - Email is sent in this situation.
* The community determines that your content is in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. - Email is sent in this situation.
* Your question expired with no answers. - No Email is sent in this situation.
*The best answer to your question was removed by Yahoo! or the community (when a best answer is removed, the associated question is automatically removed). - No Email is sent in this situation.
When a question is deleted, all associated answers, including the best answer, are deleted as well.
Check your activity tab in your profile. If nothing about a violation there, then the Q was removed for one of the other reasons. (Activity tab is located under you profile, under 'Your Network's Q&A')

If you did not get a violation notice, then the only possibility is that the Best Answer was reported and removed as a violation. Being resolved does not make a question (or answer) immune to reporting. Postings may be reported and removed at any time.
There is no way to phone the YA staff, and they won't answer you in all probability in a matter like this, as this is simply the way the site works. When a BA is removed, by necessity, the question must be removed as well.
If you DID get a violation notice, then the question itself was reported and removed. As mentioned, being resolved does not grant immunity. If you got the notice, it should include a link to appeal if you wish to.
