LGBT: Embarrassing situations - ever been?
Today I went to a LGBT Pride Parade, took part, and everything. I loved it, my Gran was just thinking I went in to the city for the day... or so I thought. I ended up doing dishes with her, and well, she ended up asking "so, that thing you went to, were there many other gay people there?". Talk about embarrassing! I wanted to just die right there, it was so unexpected! Anyone ever been in a situation like that?
MP: I need to get to sleep. Are you tired? Want to go together?

Two situations: 1) This was when I was 15. I had gone to a party without my mum's permission so she called up my friend who caved and told her where I was. She drove down to the house I was at, searched the whole house until she opened the last bedroom door and found me naked on a bed with a boy zipping up his jeans. Although she didn't see the actual sex act, it was just as bad and she literally ran out of the room gagging. We have never spoken about that day ever and we never bring it up...it's just too embarrassing... 2) I was in the middle of sex with someone and I was on top. I was too drunk though and I passed out on top of him! That was really embarrassing, he sort of rolled me into a bush I think lol.

Kind of like that. 7th grade, I was on the bus and I was convinced I was a lesbian (I'm 16 now; bisexual) and I ended telling the wrong people. Just because I liked them and I thought they were cute.
So, yeah, we were nearing my bus stop and there still quite a few of us left, and this jerk named Kevin said, "So, Cheryl. Are your really a lesbian"?
And I jerked my head towards the cute girl I told and she's like "I didn't say nothing!" or something like that.
Which obviously didn't help. x)
MP: Nooo, I woke up only a couple hours ago. Haha, but sweet dreams though. :)

Sound like you Gran is pretty cool with your orientation, and use this as an opportunity to let you know.
I can see where you might feel a little awkward, but I think you should feel pretty good as well.

I came out to a friend, and I did not realize he told his girlfriend that I was gay.
So we were talking about a school dance and they were telling me I should go. When I looked doubtful, she said to me with a big smile, "You could dance with all the guys."
I could've sunk into the floor.
MP: I'm tired also. You're prolly cute but I already have sexy bf.

MP: no, not sleeping for another 10 hours, its 11:10am right now :)

It's cool that your Gran can be so relaxed about it. Us young people think we're getting away with stuff, but y'know what? The older folks are a lot keener than we think they are! ;-)

haha, well all my friends assume i'm bisexual, even though i have told none of them such. so today they were all over (all the people i had over were either gay, bisexual, or transgendered), and after they left my mother asked if i thought one of the girls were cute. i never told her i was bisexual, she just assumed! haha. it was pretty embarrassing.
MP: not really, it's only 11 right now, but if you wait for me i shall come!
