It might be a children's book or for young readers.
I only know the names of some characters and maybe the location:
a young boy named Jamie(main) and his little baby sister Aurora(just born). living in NY or NJ. time of the story is 70's or 80's..... not sure.
any help would be great.

Two friends (both boys) living in a NY apartment building. One has a little sister named Aurora. she was named aurora because she was born at dawn.
