can you set photoshop top Inches as default setting?

can you set photoshop 7 top Inches as default setting? i am old school and have to keep changing it from mm

    Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the letter 'K' this will bring up preferences. Go to the top 'Interface' tab and click, the drop down 'size' window will show click on the down pointing arrow (the drop down menu) and select Inches. Click OK.

    PS reads this preferences file just once on start up so close down PS and re-open. If you open a picture and call up the Rulers (Ctrl + R) they should now be in Inches and always will be. As will Image>Image Size.

    You can change other things in the preferences window, have a play.

    Its a long time since I used PS7, but I don't think setting the Preferences has changed much.
