I live in California where El Pollo Locos ae plenty. No need for KFC, though I love their extra crispy chicken and COLESLAW.

El Pollo Loco makes excellent grilled chicken. They set the standard. KFC is a Johhny Come Lately.

Or should I say COLONEL COME LATELY.

I may try the next time I get some Xtra crispy and COLESLAW.

    Source(s): Mmmmm. KFC coleslaw.

    Yes.

Personally it tastes like their regular chicken, extremely greasy with an added "grilled" flavor. In fact it tastes like they added a grilled flavoring to it and pressed the heck out of it to make it look like it's been on a grill.

    Other chicken is better, yes.

But this really isn't a bad alternative for KFC.

I thought they were going to dry up the chicken a lot more but it's just as greasy.

Yes, I kept burping it up. Don't listen to Oprah she doesn't know jack shite.

I used to love KFC but they've gone downhill over the years. These days I'll take good grocery store deli chicken over that KFC garbage.

Source(s): They gave me a free complimentary piece when I went through their drive-thru to buy some A&W cheese curds (our KFC is a KFC/A&W)....

KFC is defunct, especially if you live in California. If you want grilled chicken, El Pollo Loco is the place to go. If you want fried chicken, go to Church's. If you're into side dishes with your fried chicken, go to Roscoe's.

    I think it's bland.I consider myself a very good cook.My co-workers that don't cook think it's great.Stick with the original chicken I'd say.

For fast food, it's ok. El Pollo Loco is better.

tastes just like BK and McD's version

    or similar enough.

I will stick to their extra crispy chicken.
