I wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to some great men too, sometimes they are the primary care givers, providers and nurture's. :)

Maybe they should come up with a new card campaign/money maker like, say  ....Single Dad's Day.......

Or  Step-Mother who takes on someone else's kids and some how makes them a family Appreciation Day....

The variations, including same sex parents with adoptive children ...they could make a killing!

I totally agree with that. Even men can be parenting a child in a mother type fashion. As well as women who do not have a child they have the mother instinct in them and are mothering to their friends and loved ones.
