does anyone here watch both ai and bgt?
i love american idol, and i usually go on youtube and watch Britain's got talent....i was just wondering if anyone else wishes that ai was more like bgt? i mean, everyone on bgt has such raw talent, and are so happy to be there, and the seem like real people (as in not fake, Lol) but ai is just so commercial, and it's all about the looks. i mean, ai has some amazingly talented people, and i love that show. but it seems like Britain's got talent is more about the actual talent and not so much the commercialism of it all. i guess america is just more commercial than britain. lol
they are both in english.

I watch ai, and wish BGT would aire in america.
I do agree with you. The people on BGT look ALOT more real, even the more commercial people that arent' susan boyle look real.
But you have to realize that the competition is different: American Idol has to glamorize people because they go on to sell records and enter the pop culture. Britain is also a lot different culturally than america. They don't tend to judge much from the appearance. If you look at English celebs you'll realize that none are near as made up as the ones here.

Well.. they're not really in the same league. That's why there's America's Got Talent. :P
I tend to watch some of BGT on youtube, but not all the people have talent ie DJ Talent. I'm getting kinda bored with them both though.
