Filo dough and puff pastry what is the difference?

Phyllo dough is a very paper thin dough that dries out quite easily.
It's great for making something lighter, like a vegetable strudel.
Puff pastry is heavier and is better used for danish or something of the sort. :)

i bought filo dough thinking it was the same as puff pastry...big mistake! filo dough is very thin individual sheets of pastry that you have to coat with melted butter and stack together. puff pastry is already buttered and stacked and ready to use.
