A question about swine flu?

Can you just be a carrier to pass on swine flu to someone or do you properly have to feel the symptoms to pass it on?

You can pass it on and not have symptoms. It can incubate in you before you actually get sick and you can spread it.

It is possible to have a sub-clinical infection with influenza. This is a real infection, it is just mild with little or no symptoms. It is possible but unlikely to pass it along with a sub-clinical infection. The reason is that much of the cause of spreading infection is from respiratory droplets such as from a sneeze (like the little spray that comes out when you sneeze). Also, you are most infectious during the fever, that is when the most viruses are in your blood. If you are not sneezing, and you do not have a fever, you will not be super infectious.

Also, you may have fewer viruses on your hands and secretions, that are less likely to pass it.

So, it is possible, but not super infectious. Anyhow, people should wash their hands especially if they touch their nose, go to the bathroom, and such. And if you make food, you should always wash first.

you have to feel the symptoms first. You should see the movie "the out break" it shows you how diseases can spread and it's actually fun to watch and you learn alot

You have to feel the symptoms to pass it on, because it is a bacterial virus.
