What would you do if the sun was going to be blocked out for two years? ?

How would you provide for food? Water? etc?

Assume you had a month to prepare.

Assuming you mean partially blocked, as in an impact winter, I would try to prepare an underground shelter and stock it with non-perishable foods, water, lanterns, and lots of batteries for them. Providing enough heat might be a problem, because electrical heaters use lots of power and anything else puts out fumes (including a gas powered generator). A wind turbine with the power directed into the shelter would be a good idea, but 1 month probably isn't long enough to get one built and everything set up. Could you give me 6 months?

If you mean it is completely blocked out, then we would all die from the extreme cold.

Providing that the world did not know I would try to stockpile every can of food and all the water i could. I would stay away from salty snacks and too much dry food. That would just up your water consumption. Oh yea I think about this stuff too much.
