Theists: What would be your reaction if the government requested CCTV in our homes?

This would obviously be to combat the threat of domestic violence and child abuse.

Also what are your views on the future possibility of GPS chips being installed in people to help solve the problem of child abduction.

Just wondering if/how these ideas would clash with your religion.

Update:

I'm aware that it isn't a religious debate, but I have seen a few people saying that they think these measurements would be a good idea, personally I think it would be horrific, and a complete breech of our freedom.

The reason I wanted to ask theists was that most of the people who have said it would be ok were atheists. I think that if theists are MUCH less accepting of the proposals then it does quite a lot to negate the fallacy that they are easily lead and unintelligent.

In fact I would say that it would suggest they have a much better model for viewing day to day life even if their beliefs as a whole, do not conform to what is scientifically rational.

    I would reject it. The whole point about the separation between church and state is to keep the state out of interfering in church affairs as much is it is to prevent any religion from dominating state affairs. It would be an invasion of privacy.

    Suppose it could be used to monitor prayer in homes and other innocent activities.

    That's not a religious debate. I'm agnostic and I would abhor such measurements. They would be a total violation and removal of privacy.
