Has anyone in zone 8, ever had any luck growing a Carolina Jasmine in a pot?
I live in north Texas, zone 8. And I'm running out of room in my landscape for vine plants. I have a very nice deck that has a 3 ft. white, picket fence around it. So I was thinking about potting the jasmine on deck and training it to the fence. I can't put it in the ground around the deck because I have tons of mint and banana trees there. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you!

They may come back, but only in warm winters. A true zone 8a winter will kill potted jasmines.

You need to be able to copy the plants native environment. I grow Plumerias (Hawaiian trees) in Arkansas. My trees are potted and I bring them in during the winter.
