'One' by Adam Lambert?

I am not an Adam Lambert fan. While I think he has a nice voice when he isn't screeching like he is on broadway or something, he rarely stays low.

Watching the beginning of 'One' I started to get excited, thinking the low sweet tone sounded really good to me. I questioned if I was going to really turn around and start to like him with this performance..and then BAM. Screeching. Totally disappointed me and butchered the rest of the song for me.

Anyone feel the same way? Those who love him, I know you do. And I have nothing personal against him, his high pitched screaming just isn't my cup of tea. Leave that stuff to Whitney and Celine.

I was the same way last night. The first little bit of that song was good & I thought maybe I could actually stomach an entire song by Adam. He channeled Cher at some point & began screeching like a cat - as usual. I have to turn his songs because the sound is so difficult to listen to. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'd have to agree - and I like Adam. I was really enjoying his performance at the beginning, thinking, "Oh, I really liked Kris this week but I might like Adam better." Then he started with his usual. He needs to make it sweet once in a while, not painful.

It's Adam trademark ! D Cook did the same thing, starting out low and soft then letting loose at the end. Sory you didn't enjoy "One"

I feel the exact same way! That is why I could never buy his cd - it gets really annoying and ruins songs for me.

He made it his own. He rocked it, and worked it. It was a brillianttt performance, and he made U2 proud!

I mean, its not about singing the song exactly like the original.

He worked it and made it fit his style, and I loved it ♥

But we're all entitled to our opinions. So its okay.
