Why do teams that only travel 5 times whinge so much?
A few weeks ago the Bulldogs coach was complaining because they travelled to Perth twice in a few weeks. Oh my bleeding heart. The Eagles travel 10 times per year and when they won the premierships they travelled 13 times at least. Yet the Bulldogs and co travel only a handful of times per year. So how are they able to justify their complaints?
This isn't a whinge about the amount of the travel the Eagles do. It is asking how can a team justify complaining when they travel a maximum of 6 times?

The Bulldogs played Fremantle in Round 1 at Subi, and West Coast in Round 5 at Subi. It's spread out finely if you ask me.
I agree with you, why should they complain?

I get annoyed when the footy commenter's and ones is the media, say " And Saint kilda are making the big trip west this week" When we make the "big trip" east every week (either there or back)
And when they say who much of an advantage Subi is, when WCE play shocking at the dome and we have to play their more then once a year, that is a massive advantage to the Vic teams, morso then Subi.
Lastly I believe no WA or QLD club should ever have to play at Aurora (which isn't even a direct fight to Launceston from Perth) or Skilled (which is a 4 hour plane trip and a drive) - our trip is long enough. But we will suck it up, and continue to lose games interstate for the time being as that's the cycle 'interstate clubs' go through.
Romper, we do get use to traveling, but it never gets any easier. We have to be careful when playing 1st year players, getting18 years olds and putting them though an unknown routine each week.

its a Victorian game always will be and will always have the better of every season when coming to traveling. when interstate teams travel they travel at least 5-6 more times than any Victorian team eg collingwood who seam to never leave Victoria and get mostly friday night games how is that fair, collingwood are the AFL's golden child never do wrong just goes to show money talks. All I ask is that all teams get a fair share af all aspects of the sport.

because interstate team are used to travelling and they're is only 6 of them and 10 vic teams so they'd travell more and it doesn't really effect em that much cause they're used to it and on the other hand vic teams travel less and so when they travel its hard for em to play against a crowd that is almost all of em against the em so 5 would seem plenty for a vic based team but not an interstate team

I can see the point you are making, but wouldn't the Eagles and co get used to the travelling?
