I need help with VERY easy geometry...it's more like trig. But please can someone help me?

I need to find x in the triangle. Can someone also explain how to do it. No need in detail but just a little explanation. Thanks :]

Update:

IT CANNOT BE OVER 500. It's not 500 whatever... It's between 80 and 150. I just don't know that answer.

    Use the Law of Sines

    x/sin 25 = 250/sin 65

    Solving for "x"

    x = 250(sin 25/sin 65)

    I am sure you can carry out the required calculation from here.

    Hope this helps.

    You know that you have a 25 degree angle with opposite side of X and an adjacent (touches the angle) side that is 250 units long so

    Tangent is opposite divided by adjacent

    Tan 25= X / 250

    250 * Tan 25 = X

    Alternately

    Tan 65 = 250 / X

    X = 250 / (tan 65)

    X= 116.577

    You could use the Law of Sines:

    sin(25)/x = sin(65)/250

    Or just use the definition of tangent (opposite / adjacent):

    tan(25) = x / 250

    tan(65) = 250/x

    Or use the definition of cotangent

    cot(25) = 250/x

    cot(65) = x/250

    Just take any one of these 5 equations and solve it. You'll get the same answer.

    Ok

    remember sine cosine and tangent?

    Just remember SOH CAH TOA

    This mean sine=opposite/hypotenuse Cosine= adjacent/hypotenuse

    and tangent= opposite/adjacent

    Now, you know your angle is 25% thats opposite from the missing side

    The one that will work is Tangent

    tan(25)=X/250 (opposite/adjacent)

    So, take the angle and go

    tan(25) on your calculator

    so 0.466=X/250

    multiply by 250

    116.58= X

    There yah go!

    hope I helped!

    Its a right triangle.

    Tan 25 = x / 250; x = (Tan 25) (250)

    use law of sines

    sin of angle divided by the opposite side.

    sin(65)/250 = sin(25)/x

    now solve for x

    250*tan(25)=x
