Heating coming on even though boiler is turned off HELP!!?
About 4 days ago my heating started coming on even though the thermostate was on 0 so i turned the heating setting off on the boiler but it is STILL coming on, at 1st it seemed to be whenever i ran the hot water but this morning it came on before i was out of bed and no water had been run.
What could it be, it is really worrying me because i am on a gas meter and it is going to cost me a fortune.

sounds like your boiler is half full try topping it up by lifting the overflow lever on the system and see if it overflows or fills up

take it to be a combi boiler, sounds like its wired wrong or hot water side is affecting the heating side check you have shut down timer as well as this will cause boiler to start if it gets cold enough or the stats u/s

It could be a number of different reasons.
If you post the make and model of your boiler then it might help narrow down any possible fault.
