Would you consider paper flowers to real flowers for your wedding?

Oragami flowers or more realistic looking paper flowers instead of the real thing.

Please answer yes or no and leave some feedback.

Thanks

Yes, if that was the style I was going for. Paper flowers cannot be mistaken for the real thing, so its a "look". You should browse through Martha Stewart for examples of it done well.

I would not use silk or fake flowers that resemble real flowers too closely. In my opinion, I would rather have real flowers than "mock flowers".

But paper flowers are not "mock flowers", so that falls into the arts& crafts category for me. Not my personal taste, but if you like that look you should go for it-- there are some great resources out there to help you achieve your look.

I would prefer to have real flowers for my wedding. However, they can be expensive so there are some places I would cut them back on -- for example, I wouldn't have flowers decorating the end of every aisle, and I would use candle center peices instead of floral ones if it came down to it. I would cut back as much as I could to ensure that I didn't have to resort to using paper or silk flowers at my wedding. To some it may be more important that they have a floral-looking center peices, whereas for me it is easy to opt out for some vases and floating candles if that is necessary for our budget.

No- for photography purposes you can always tell a real flower from a "fake" flower. I do not care for paper or silk flowers. My thought is- Why use a flower at all if you don't want them- use crystals or something more modern.

    Nothing beats real flowers.

Not for a wedding, for a wedding, the real thing, all the way. I would not want people to remember the tacky paper flowers at my wedding every time we got together.

I did have silk flowers for my wedding. They were beautiful. The flowers that were close to people were real and my bouquet was real.

I've wondered since then if I would have like a silk bouquet so I could keep it. Oh well....too late to worry about that for me.

To me, it would depend on what you could afford. I don't see the need in going over board on expenses for 1 day, but that's my opinion.I mean you will have forever with this person to buy better things, if you wish to have them. The meaning of the wedding is the vows and the love for each other, not the decorations.

No. You can't compare the look, texture or scent of real flowers at all.

I would not. Real flowers are beautiful and smell lovely. paper is kind of tacky.
