Do you have a name tattoo?

I very recently got married and i'm really missing my maiden name already!!

I thought about getting it tattoo'd somewhere on my body but as yet i haven't decided where? or in what style ?

If you do have a name tattoo -

1. Please describe how long you have had it.

2. Whose name is it? (Is it the name of a boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, child, etc.)

3. Where it is located on your body?

4. Do you regret it?

5. Please answer 1-4 if you had one and if you had it removed or covered up and add details please as to after how long and by what method?

6. How many other tattoos do you have?

I really am interested so let me know

If you do have a name tattoo -

    1. Please describe how long you have had it.

About a year now, a friend did it for me when i was 16.

    2. Whose name is it? (Is it the name of a boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, child, etc.)

    Its my Last name, Fontana.

    3. Where it is located on your body?

On my lower back right hip, so its not a tramp stamp, and its in french script.

    4. Do you regret it?

No way! My last name means alot to me, and if I ever get married and change my name to my hubby's last name, the Fontana name in my family will die out since im the last person with it. It keeps that part of my family alive.

    6. How many other tattoos do you have?

None, so it doesnt take away from the one I DO have.

    1. Two months

    2. Fiance

    3. Top of left wrist

    4. Honestly, I had planned to get it on my upper arm, but for some unknown reason at the last second (once the artist asked where) I said on my wrist. I've got several other tatts, two of which are very large, but this was my first one in a visible location. That very night I was having semi-regret feeling simply over the location. However, within a week or so I got fully use to it and now I'm glad I had that last minute idea to switch locations.

    1. 3 days

    2. My husband's name. It's a pink/purple Tribal butterfly that we designed to spell "BoB" which is my husbands name. (The first "B" is backwards, of course, to form the wing. Then I have two purple/pink flowers on each side of it with a small vine going around my wrist a little bit with a very cute, small leaf at each end. The leaves just peek out from either side of my wrist. If I ever had to hide it I just would say it's a butterfly and not point out that if you look close you can see that it's his name. But I will never regret it....I took a very long time deciding to get it and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. My husband has had my name on his left arm in 2 inch English Block letters for about 10 years now. He says he is very glad he got it, doesn't regret it and thinks it looks great!

    3. On my right inner wrist

    4. Nope...took me 11 years to decide to get it, design it, and figure out where I wanted it.

    5. None removed, covered up.

    6. Just one more on my right ankle. It's a ladybug for my two youngest daughter's.. Long story behind it but I love it still after 12 years!

Am getting another one on my left shoulder. Not the outside of it but on the front of it. It is going to look like someone used a rubber stamp that has my childrens names in it. It will also be pink and purple. Just waiting for this one to heal and then I will go get it. :)

If you want your maiden name as a tat then go for it. I think it's a good idea. I have thought about it, too. I think I have decided that I am going to just get my dad's full name instead though. But since I am not 100% sure yet, I won't do anything until I have decided exactly what I want to do. I know if I ever got one that I wasn't 100% sure about I would end up hating it.That's why it took me so long to get my husbands name on me. I would have done it the day he did his but I just couldn't find anything I liked and then about 2 years ago the butterfly/bob idea came to me.

i have two name tattoos. the first 1 is my name located on my right breast with a heart and a dove. it was actually my first tat. ive had it now for about 13yrs i dont regret it at all. my second name tat is my ex-boyfriends name and its on the outside of my right thigh with a champaign glass and grapes.ive had this 1 for about 91/2 yrs. its really cute, but i regret it like HELL. Ive always wanted to get it covered up but just never got around to doing it.I have 3 other tats and am thinking of getting two more. Now would be the perfect time because im getting married and my fiance hates looking at it.

I have a name tattoo. It is my son's name, on my wrist above a mother/child symbol. It's not even a year old and I'll never regret having the joy of my life's name on my body. When I got it, the artist designed the font style to suit the area where I was getting and to fit with the picture.

    1. I have two name tattoos,

    2. First one is my husband, 2nd is a memorial of my grandparents.

    3. My husbands name with a butterfly and tribal arm band is on my left upper arm, almost at my shoulder, and my grandparents is an angel crying on a headstone with my grandparents name on it on the inside of my forearm.

    4. I don't regret either... I love my husband, he has my name in the same place on his arm, although his background is a Native Horse. And my grandparents are my parents, they raised me and I love them with all my heart and I miss them more than anything in the world, I tattoo'd their names because I love them, and I'm not scared to show the world, thats why I chose to put it in plain sight, the rest of my tattoos are in places that aren't visible unless I want them to show.

    6. I have a total of 6 tattoos.

    1. three years.

    2. my maiden name

    3. my lower back

    4. no i love it!

    5. still have it

    6. 2 others

mine is my maiden name written out in a cool cursive handwriting one way and there is a mirror image of it going the other way. it is sprawled out across my lower back. the writing is all horizontal and the frontwards name is attached to the backwards name by the last letter in my name. it looks really cool. so it is flipped by the last letter that is still attached for example andersonnosredna, but the last anderson would be backwards.

I have my Mom's initials tattooed on my shoulder. I've had it for 2.5 years (got it done 4 days after she died). I don't regret it at all - very glad I did it.

My son will be born in about 3 months and I'm planning to have his initials and date of birth done underneath my first one

    1. 2 years on july 25th.

    2. its a purple swirlyish heart with my sisters nickname in it.

    3. my right shoulder blade.

    4. nope i dont.

    6. i only have one as of right now but im wanting lyk 3 more.

u may miss ur last name but its ur old last name for a reason.

i wouldnt suggest gettin ur maiden name tattood on u for the simple reason cause ur married now n maybe itd hurt ur husbands feelings.

or later in life ud regret getting it or something.

i mean its just ur maiden name nothing tooo important.

ull get use to ur new last name n wont even miss ur old one.
