1. Yes, I think my dogs would defend me if I felt I was truly in danger.

2. No, I've been bitten by dogs during a snake avoidance clinic where I was handling the dogs, but it was not an attack. Merely a response to the shock from the collar when they neared the rattlesnake. I've been threatened by dogs, but I've always been able to get them to move on. Most dogs seem to like me well enough.

3. I don't really like small breeds at all, and find that many chihuahuas are not very balanced...they sit and shake and act scared all the time.

4. There is the Xoloitzcuintli- a hairless breed of dog that is found in Mexico, south and central America and in the Caribbean.

5. My favorite breeds are Rhodesian Ridgebacks, labs, dobermans, and German shepherds.

1. No, if someone tried to hurt me, I don't think my 5 pound toy poodle would do much to stop him.

- Well, I'd like to think so. It's hard to say because no one's ever genuinely tried to hurt each other in my house before, so I can't say for sure. When we holler and smack each other around lightheartedly, he gets excited and wants to play, too, so I can only assume that he is able to sense the difference between our playful intentions and malicious intentions.

- If I have, I don't remember it. The closest a dog has come to attacking me was my grandmother's brat of a Golden Retriever, who practically mauled me because he was so excited and jumpy.

- Some, but I'm pretty picky. I dislike bug-eyed dogs.

- Well, the Havanese is from Cuba.

- English Mastiff.

1. Yes, even though they are not aggressive dogs, I believe they would protect me.

2. I have not really been attacked by a dog, but I have had a dog run at me barking and I wasn't sure what was going to happen.

3. Sorry, I'm not really a Chihuahua kind of person...they irritate me.

4. Don't know anything about dogs from the Caribbean, sorry.

5. My favorite dog breeds would have to be Labrador Retrievers and Puggles....I have both. But I also like my other dogs too.

i play fight with my fiancee some times and my staff goes for me!!! so yes i think if she saw me getting hurt she would.

1. I'm not sure if my dog would protect me. He's only ever barked at one person, and that was because I was sitting with my back turned to them, and they were walking toward me. He's otherwise a complete baby to people. :)

2. I've never been attacked by a dog. ...But when I met my friend, I was scared to go in her yard because her chihuahuas would sit and bark at the fence. Haha.

3. I only like one of my friends chihuahuas. The reason I don't like them so much isn't because of them. It's because of the majority of people who own them, or similar small breeds, like the min pin. I had a min pin following me barking everywhere I went, and the owner just says, "Oh, well, his breed is derived from a vicious breed." HAH. No it isn't. The dogs are like that because their owners let them be.

5. My very favorite is the Border Collie. And I want one sooo badly, but I know I have to wait. I've put in about 8 years of research, and know I'm ready now!! I just don't have a place for one yet. :(

But I know that no Border Collie I'll ever own will surpass the mixed breed I have now.

1. i'm not sure i've never experienced it but i'm sure if it was the time my dog would come to defence... any dog would even the most gentlest dog.

2. never been attacked, i live in a pretty secure area and also i would not pet a dog without asking the owner nor go near one unless the owner says it's okay and how to properly appraoch them (that's how some attacks occure, because dumb kids or whatnot just walk up to the dogs and yeah)

3. i do not like chihuahua's... sturbborn and i hate their bark.. also they actually rank up as the most prone dog to attack/or be vicious because of their short temper and they're always pampered like they're dolls. I dislike any small or toy breed.. for the exeption of Border Terriers and Jack Russels

4. i'm not sure lol.. am sure there would be.

5. my favorite dog breeds would deffinately be the Retrievers, although i'm not a big fan of Golden's not sure why??.. and Border Collies, Aussies, Springers, Brittany's, yeah any athletic medium-large dog i like :) mix or not!

1. Greyhounds, definitely not, it's not in their nature. Belgian shepherd - quite possibly.

4. Dogs aren't really indigenous to islands, except ones brought there. The closest would be the Havenese from Cuba and the Puerto Rican Mastiff.

I have one dog, an 8 month old chocolate lab mix.

5.) I like any dog that is sweet and not too awfully large. However, I do have a soft spot for labs and great danes.

1) from another dog, no doubt. I brought home a foster dog who was a biter, and I had to put the rest of my small "pack" away when I worked with him, because they wanted to "help" me by flattening the dog who was trying to bite me :o)

From a person, probably, but Im not sure.

2) Yes, twice by german shepherds (fortunately, they just got clothes, not skin)

3) Yeah - I like chihuahuas. I had a great one for seven years. We got off to a rough start (he mauled my finger) but after all the battles were fought, he turned out to be a great dog, and one that I will always miss.
