I have a 2003 corvette z5 and it will not turn over, when I hook up a manuel hand starter it will turn over.?
When I bypass the starter it will start for about 2 seconds and die bad ignition maybe?

sound,s like a bad solenoid switch on top of your starter.....it not only control,s the start sequence but the ignition feed as well....good luck!

Manual hand starters also came on old farm tractors. If it runs for two seconds and then dies I would say you have no circuit from the ignition.

What's a manual hand starter? I've only seen one of those on a Ford Model "T" or "A".

it sounds like the starter solenoid has gone out this happens and its usually a pretty easy fix!
