Would a foot brace help...?

with the recovery from shin splints? I have tried every other thing. Shoes, insole, prosthetics, bone scan, acupuncture, chiropractor, heck you name it, I tried it. Im just wondering if a foot brace would help speed up the recovery. Currently, I am wrapping it when I work or when I do any physical activity. Im not running, but I am doing cross-fit to help keep my cardio up before I leave for the Police academy. I am icing the area and using a heating pad to help.

Update:

just wondering if it would help to keep the ankle stable. One I walk stiff ankled, like I have a brace on, it feels better.

Well. with shin splints there is really nothing you can do. It takes awhile to recover fully from that. You have to be patient. You are doing good by wrapping it when you work out. But i am sorry there is not much you can do. Good Luck
