Is this spanish translation correct?

I wanna say..

"On the night of april 8, it was very wet and it rained a lot."

This is what I have.. is this correct?:

"En el noche de ocho de abril era muy mojodo y llovia mucha."

*note that there should be an accent over the "i" in "llovia".

I need to know if the tenses are correct as well.

If it's wrong.. what is the right way?

    La noche del 8 de abril fue muy húmeda y llovía mucho.

    "En la noche del ocho de Abril estaba mut mojado y llovia mucho."
