water resistant to 30 meters.
NOT water proof...
when you change the battery, warranty of water resistancy is void.
get an automatic.
you can shower with it on but no deep sea diving.

technically means water resistant to 30 meters, or about 100 feet.
But doesn't mean you can take it swimming.
Watches for swimming should be at least WR 100M. That's because companies overstate their watches capability and they don't take into account the splashing and jostling and shaking of the watch during actual swimming.

it's water resistant so you're able to take it into water, just don't play with the buttons whilst in the shower.
