Video Referees, Doing Their Best?
Everyone keeps blaming video refs if they're team loses and it's starting to irritate me. Video refs play countless replays of the play and their decision is usually the right one.
SO they make a few mistakes here and there, get over it. It's not easy being a ref in the first place when most supporters make it known that they hate them. Steve Clark made one mistake and heaps of people are ready to condemn him to death. It's just a game of footy guys, get over it.
SNLL, it sounds like you are saying he poicked the Dragons because he wanted them to win. That's just plain stupididty sorry.

Sean, if a ref makes a mistake on the field, that's OK. He can only call what he sees. He gets no replays, slo mo's or different angles.
But the video ref? He can take as long as he likes and so there is no real need for a wrong decision, except that he's no good. It's not for nothing Clarke was known as "home team" Clarke. The home team generally always got the penalties and the close calls.

Yeah of course we understand it’s just a game of footy. But the end of the day it’s the principal to play fair. It’s obvious Clark has made many good decisions before but it’s a decision like yesterday that will stuff his whole career up. This wasn’t any kind of mistake to get over! I’m pretty sure if you won’t a Dragons fan you wouldn’t be over it!If he wants to be a video ref then he shouldn’t be taking any sides.
It irritates you that we blame video refs for losing the game. Well yesterday was the best example for this. I srsly had nothing against Clark but after last n8 it jst goes to show that if a video ref can’t play fair. And if a video ref can’t play fair then whole the hell can?

The final verdict is made by one man, there are three referees, would it not be better for all of them to make the final ruling together.
After all there is a big screen.
Steve Clark made a mistake all right, perhaps he was given an incentive to make that mistake.

Video refs shouldn't make decisions as blatantly wrong as that. That wasn't a shepherd. Soward was playing for the penalty because he knew he wasn't gonna get to Pattern.

Everybody makes mistakes and Steve Clark is no exception. He did make a mistake and i'm sure he has realised that now, his made 1000 times more good calls then bad calls.
