Why do scientists lie to us that somethings are billions of years old, if we all know the earth is 6000 years?
Im just bullshitting, how could anyone believe the earth is really 6000 years old?

Because they are so blinkered and deluded that they fail to see the hard-core evidence (that the Earth is 4 Billion years old) that is staring them in the face!
People put their trust in faith because they desperately want something to believe in and also to set guidelines for their life. They also think that they are "doing good" by following religion. However, what they are missing out on is leading an interesting and knowledgeable life. I don't agree on many things but i will listen to the experts and their opinion and if i see that they are speaking some sense then i will go with the flow. Not buck the system like these bible bashers and try and give religion as the answer to everything. 'Cos it's not. And it is actually the answer to....um.....nothing.

Because they were raised that way, its pretty hard to give up your beliefs if they were programmed into your mind over a span of 18 years.

If you've ever "felt Jesus in your heart", you can believe these things. As a former Christian I can say your imagination can really get away with itself.
Another way to put it is that your desire for something to be true exceeds the evidence for it.
