You've already received many good suggestions.
I dropped my work phone in a toilet once.... I figured I had nothing to lose at that point (everything was soaked, but because of the obvious materials that were sharing the water with my phone) I wound up removing the battery and washing my phone with soap and water.
I left the battery off until fully dry.
As soon as possible, I let the phone soak in alcohol, then turned on the heater in the bathroom and left it to dry (my goal was to have it dry as quickly as possible to mitigate the possibility of rust without getting too hot). Even after the phone looked dry, I still let it sit on a table for another day before finally putting the battery in and turning on.
If you want a couple of more detailed methods (something I found after the fact but have not tried myself), take a look at these:

That sucks!!!! I dropped mine in the bathtub once! My recomendation is to remove the battery and back cover. Dry off what you can with a towel. Use a blow dryer to help dry the rest. Make sure you don't get it too hot. Getting a cell phone too hot can cause damage also. Don't try to power it on until you are POSITIVE it is completely dry! I would even leave it a day or so in a warm place to dry. Inspect for rust that could cause issues especially if the phone was left outside for a long time. Then try to use it!!! Good luck! My phone still works fine!

Let it dry first. Leave it out in the sun or something like that. Once it dries, just turn it on and see if it works.

take it aside as much as you may and enable it air dry.. the rice could help take up lots of the moisture. i does no longer elect suggestions of employing direct sunlight, the oven, a hairdryer, and so forth.. you may over warmth various the areas (the oven is a sturdy thank you to soften your telephone or reason a fireplace!) go away the telephone aside for some days and supply it a wager to dry besides as available. it may nevertheless artwork.. you basically had a water balloon.. so lots of the water could be on the floor.. its no longer like it certainly fell in water.

First of all don't turn it on! Let it dry out first. When its complete dry (a couple of days maybe) then turn it on and see if it still works.
