What do you all think?

Between Rachel Alexandra and Mine That Bird, Calvin Borel has the whole world at his fingertips right now. So what do you guys think? -- if they decide not to run the big mare back in the Belmont, will Wooley spin Mike Smith and put Borel back on what Smith called 'the bravest little horse he's ever ridden???

I hope you're right, but don't you think there will be a lot of pressure by the racing establishment and media for Borel to become the first rider to win the triple crown with 2 different horses?

I disagree that Borel is a better rider than Smith, although he is definately cockier and more reckless - which might have gotten him a shorter path to the wire in the Preakness, had he been on the little horse. That said, it would be awfully hard not to be cocky right now with the providence that the racing Gods have showered him with this spring... I hope Rachel has a long and illustrious career and goes down in history as one of the greatest of all time, but I'd sure love to see that gutsy little colt blow their doors off in NY.

    I hope cal rides Alexanra and Mind that Bird beats them.

    Who wins the Darby then gets off the horses. was annoys me is that if Calvin Borel had been on that bird he might of won in Baltimore then we could root for a triple crown horse

    I also think MTB might have won the Preakness had Borel been his mount. He almost pulled off what he did in the 'Derby. With a quality jockey like Borel, he could be shooting for the Triple Crown at Belmont. What a story that would have been! A 50-1 longshot going for the Triple Crown! THAT would have been something.

    Well, it's going to be at least one more year before we have a TC winner. Race on!
