Can I exercise (do cardio) when I have a cold?

I have a cold right now (started today) and I wanted to now if I can continue with my workouts. I do cardio 4 times a week for 30 minutes and then do abs and/or legs. I'm finally seeing the results so I want to continue but is it a good idea? If yes or no please explain why?

Thanks a lot!!!

Yes, if you only have a cold. If at any point you start to feel worse as you exercise, or you have a fever prior to exercising, don't do it anymore. Pushing yourself too far when you're sick can end up making your recovery longer.

However, with just cold, I usually find that I can take a decongestant a couple of hours prior to exercising and be fine. Plus sometimes it helps a bit!

    Feel better!

Yes it is ok. Just pay attention to how you feel. I hear exercise will help loosen or open up congestion. I can't back any of this up but I was in the same place as you and I exercised anyway. I was ok.
