How do questions get deleted?
Just curious, How do questions get deleted besides YA deleting them? Can you delete a question if you decide you don't want to post it, or can someone else delete your question if they don't like it? And if so, how can they do it?

You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway).
To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click Delete Question.

The other way they can get deleted is if they are reported by two or more reliable users of Y!A. Questions and answers can be reported in any state. Whether they are open, in voting or resolved, they can be reported.

If you delete your account or it gets suspended, your questions will remain here and can be seen by other users
Delete resolved questions by sending Yahoo the link of the question here: y_answrs_team@yahoo.com

You can only delete your question if you haven't already chosen a best answer. After that, that boy is permanent! So be wary of what you put out there. But a person can also report your question as abuse, and Y!A can erase it if they see fit.
