Is it true that a wolf's howl doesn't echo?

If so, why"

Is it all wolves or only Amercan ones?

    When hunting in packs, wolves use different howls to communicate with one another. Because echoes can distort communication, a wolf's howl does not produce an echo, even when emitted in a valley surrounded by mountains.

    All sound echoes. There was a similar rumour about ducks that I heard. But they're not true. An animal can't stop sound from echoing.

    every single vibration of air (aka.sound) echos off of surfaces or differing densities of air
