you have silent auction where people can donate items and maybe stores can donate gift cards.
spaghetti dinner: you can have stores to donate items for the dinner like tea, spaghetti noddles, spaghetti sauce, bread , salad, and maybe pies and cakes. then sell tickets for the dinner. my friend's boy scouts group did this and they rise a lot of money.
