How do I fix an electric stove after water overflow?
I was cooking some noodles when a lot of water overflow onto the electric stove. I wiped clean of the water. After I tried to turn the stove back on, I could hear the stove make the "ticking" noise but it wouldn't light up anymore. Please help! Thanks.

if you can hear the ticking or see the led clock working, then you don't have to worry about the circuit breaker. the next question is how many ignite rs tick without producing a flame. make sure al the water is dried up and the stove is unplugged (it may be easier at this point to use the circuit breaker) before you make any attempt at repairs. if you have to replace the igniters you'll need to take the make, model, and serial number to a local supplier.

OK you have an ELECTRIC stove? But what you is describing is what happens on a GAS stove. Light the gas stove with a match and after you cook something, the heat will have dried out the electrodes. If you try to lift up a stove with sealed burners you are going to break the aluminum lines going to the burners and that is gonna cost ya big time. let the stove dry out on its own.

First unplug the stove before it fries any wiring.
Then lift the top of the stove and dry off any wiring there. If you have to use a hair dryer to get to hard to reach water.

be very careful and lift up the tops and see if there is water in them. if there is call an electrician or someone from the company who can help fix it. if they can't fix it drain it out or keep the stove on so that the water can burn and dry. be very careful though.
