I think instead of going for a famous character or famous person, you need to keep in mind the really awful stuff that was worn during that period, the kind women like me look back on in horror. Shoulder pads and poofy sleeves are a must. What's really gonna bring your outfit together, though, is the hair. You've gotta have the hair that's short and wavy or curly on top with length in the back (kinda like Michelle Duggar, but not so long). The best way to put together the right look is to look through some peopl's old yearbook or wedding albums (shudder)

go to goodwill and second hand stores im sure u will get some really good ideas of what u want when u go out and look at actual dresses

I'm more of a skirt and dress kind of woman. I prefer skirts that are about knee-length though

tights legwarmers and heels with punky mini skirt and shirt with no fancy but put cool colored streaks in hair with lacey arm warmers and bow in haiir...cool i know say you are madonna
