In japanese is ship Fu+N+E or Fu+Ne in hiragana?

I'm doing a project and I'm not sure wich one to use.

    船 - fune = ship

    ふね - hiragana

    fu+ne = ふね =船

    fun'e is meaningless. (fun'en = smoke eruption...) go with fune. good luck.
