If waterboarding isn't torture - should the police use it? How about schools with unruly students?

Or is it only OK for Arabs?

Since it's just a means to question someone....I don't see the problem with using it as a form of discipline and getting the answer from possible criminals.

OK, I get your point. The US should hold a higher standard for the world to emulate. Yet, are you even remotely aware of what US captives have been subjected to? Ever read the accounts of our POW's in Vietnam?

What would you do if you knew that the extraction of information could save your life, or that of a loved one. How far are you willing to go.

It's not torture in my eyes, but I think it's a bit extreme for use in schools. The police prolly do use it and it's just kept quiet.... I wouldn't condone using it on a kid that started a fight in school.... not to mention, you can't really use much force on any minor...

but I don't have a problem with water boarding.. you'd have to have done something pretty bad if you are being waterboarded or you know something of value.... so perhaps these "arabs" should just talk and avoid the water boarding all together....

They do it to themselves... but it's not just "arabs" so perhaps you should change the word "arabs" to "people"

Water boarding is a much more humane way of interrogation than being beheaded by a dull sword as the the reporter Pearl was or slamming jet liners into towers filled with innocent people, don't ya think? Yes, I think it should be used.

Who said it wasn't torture? No we have a reasonable justice system in the US. But as they say when in Rome do as the Romans...

it is torture which is why it isn't used and won't be used by police . it is also against the constitution. there are definite reasons why it such a big deal. Our government doesn't not usually support going against the law and just because terrorists do is no excuse.
