I gave up meat for two years. But when I got pregnant well let's just say when I started craving chicken is when I took the pregnancy test. I love meat now but I am still wary of it. If you take vitamins and drink Boost which has protein in it you will be good. It is a good thing to do for the environment. I even ate a little bit of fish at times. It's cheating I know but oh well, haha I make my own rules. (Someone I know used to think that fish wasn't a meat, hahaahaa.) Just don't substitute the meat with all carbs like I did or you will end up having a bubblebutt like I did. LOL. Oh and how I resisted meat at first is I just stayed away from the enticing aroma of bacon, and when I went to camp for a week I told everyone I was a vegetarian which FORCED me to not eat meat because then I would look like a liar, lol. I just naturally stopped wanting it. Eventually meat didn't even seem like a food to me. good luck and congrats, do what you want to do. Don't listen to these hateful people on here. You are doing a good, selfless thing for the environment that doesn't affect anyone else personally. I know it's weird but be ready for people to test you and pester you about it. Just tell them, you eat your mad cow and your swine flu and your bird flu and your abused kfc chickens, and I'll stick to my natural salad with yummy feta cheese, rach dressing, and garlic croutons on it.

Source(s): just being silly--goodluck on your vegetarian journey. I might join you again someday.

right now I eat a little bit of each food group including meat. However, I've been contemplating vegetarianism for some time. I'm researching, and looking into how "doable" it will be.

I eat meat, but nothing exotic. I hate shellfish, liver, and gizzards.

Vegans confound me, because I'm sure they've ran over some animals here and there (by accident), and that's worse than eating meat of an animal that isn't in any way endangered.

I eat what I want but I'm not a big fan of meat.

I eat meat because it is with nature not "I'm not going to eat meat and therefore save the animals" that's not how it works. People are supposed to eat meat.

I am a member of PETA(people eating tasty animals), so of course, meat is a regular part of my normal diet. I eat whatever I want.

    ATWR. All things within reason.
