literacy devices and figurative languages?

we are doing this peotry project & this is the poem i picked.

"Bedroom Ocean"

Day says:Go to sleep,

but instead I lie in bed,

pretending. . .

The darkness is the ocean.

these fingers are seaweed

floating this way and that.

my oyster eyelids

slowly open and close/

my eyes shine like pearls.

the question is to list literacy devices and figurative languages used by the author.

some devices and figurative language i picked up on and i only need these ones: alliteration, metaphor, simile, imagery, personification.

can you give me an example of those in the poem please.???

its kinda confusing cause the ones i can only point out is alliterations and similes and sometimes metaphors.

please help me!!!this is the last question on my project.!!!

Well first of all there is no alliteration in this poem.

simile- "my eyes shine like pearls"

metaphor- "The darkness is the ocean", "these fingers are seaweed", "oyster eyelids"

    imagery- uses metaphors and similies.

personification (I'm guessing)- "Day says: Go to sleep"
