Should the US bail out the State of California?

We have bailed out private enterprise (banks and auto industry), should be bail out the Golden State?

I bet if all those Hollywood Liberals donated 70% of their income to California, they'd be out of debt in a week.

Of course, Liberals only like donating other people's money. Never their own.

    Absolutely NOT!

We who don't live there, derive no benefit from giving them a bailout. Whereas we (may) benefit from banks and auto industry bailouts as they are Nationwide.

Plus, it would be taxation without representation, for those not living there, to be taxed to support that state.

Seeing the result of their voters, I am beginning to believe that, "As goes California, so goes the country." First to being bankrupt, then to being put upon for greater taxes and finally the people will wake up and react!

I'm a Californian and I just want our share of the bailout money that all states are getting. Nobody is asking for more than that. The only thing Arnold asked for is to waive the restrictions on cutting some union jobs. Our rightful share of the bailout money was in jeopardy because we have to cut a lot of these jobs to get us out of a deficit and yet the federal bailout money has some weird stipulation that says you can't cut certain jobs.

  • No! California is a communist country! We didn't bail out Russia!

Not until the REPUBLICAN voters in CA are willing to raise their own taxes to pay for all the goodies they voted themselves.

The government will receive no money from me.

Source(s): Haven't paid a direct tax in 5 years and will never pay a direct unapportioned tax for as long as I live. Liberty or Death, simple as that.
